If your vehicle's oil light comes on and you have no other symptoms like the car getting hot. Then it is likely your sensor has gone bad. I just replaced mine on a 1999 Dodge Grand Caravan. The only thing we had was the oil light on and the annoying dinging from the oil light. Nothing else ever went wrong with the van overheating or anything.
Replaced the sensor and all is fine. This is the only vehicle I have ever had that had this sensor go bad. So it was a learning experience for me - lol
When a crankshaft sensor is bad the engine will not run. The sensor is not usually intermittent, it is either good or bad.
No, a defective oil pressure sensor will not harm the engine as long as the oil pressure is what it should be. However, how do you know what the pressure is if the sensor is bad. Replace the sensor so that you can receive a warning if the oil pressure drops below what is optimum.
ohm test it.
Measure the resistance with a digital multimeter. If the resistance isn't within spec, it's bad.
A bad crankshaft position sensor will cause your Kia Sorrento to run rough. The bad crankshaft position sensor can also cause your Kia to not start.
check the the pump pressure at the rail
Assuming you mean "fuel pressure regulator", year and engine size info we need to know, it matters.
NO it will not.
how do you k now the cam sensor is bad
You can pressure test with a gauge using sensor location
Probly bad connection or just a bad sensor.
You either have a failed or a missing tire pressure sensor.
