well, it depends. when did you buy the iPod touch. if you bought it after September 2009, it means its the 3rd generation. that should have voice memos included as on of the apps. if you bought it before September 2009 it means its the 2ndgeneration. it should not have voice memos. if the iPod touch has only about 5 apps on the sticker, its the 1st generation.

∙ 11y ago1st is box shaped and thick. 2nd is curved on the sides and skinnier than 1st. 3rd looks just like 2nd except has retina display. Or connect to iTunes on computer. It should tell you.
