Injectors are part of fuel delivery. They inject, (spray) fuel into each cylinder for combustion. Often found on the bottom of the fuel rail ( a chrome looking tube on either side of intake manifold ).
Pretty sure you could get that information from a factory service manual (FSM). Sometimes you can figure out which ones you've got by looking them up at the search engine of an auto parts store such as Advanced or Autozone. They often stock more than one brand.
Ur car doesn't work
A person should know the location of all the parts in their car. The fuel injectors of a 2002 Chevy Malibu are found under the engine cover, under the hood of the car.
if you have engine oil in your fuel injectors then you have bigger problems then your car not starting..
There are ( 8 fuel injectors ) on a 2001 Lincoln Town Car
There are many solenoids in a car, fuel injectors, egr are some.
One for each cylinder, 8 cylinders would have 8 injectors.
I only change a fuel injector if it fails. I own and operate 8 Chevy Celebrities and have only had 3 fuel injectors, all on the same car, fail. I do not know of a set change frequency such as there is with timing belts.
The computer
Any car with spark plugs will have cleanable fuel injectors, so yes.
My car did this. I took it to get the heads de-carbonized and the fuel injectors cleaned out and it stopped doing this. Most likely it was the fuel injectors causing the problem.
usually 1 per cylinder
There was a recall on the fuel injectors on the M30's due to leakage. Just take it to a dealer and they will replace the injectors for free. You'll even get a loaner car while they work on yours.
