To fix the 1995 Suburban instrument lights, check the light fuse first. Check the light switch. If these are ok, then check the instrument cluster for proper power and ground connections.
Checked owners manual for any obvious fuses. Any recommendations why instrument panel and gauges would guit working?
there should be one for it also check to see if your getting power to the fuse with a volt meter.
your instrument panel lights can be dimmed(thumb wheel switch) down to practically no lights at all on your instrument cluster, this switch should be located most likely on the dash, left hand side of steering column. If this does not fix the problem ,then you have to check your fuse panel to see if you have a burnt out fuse.
Check the panel lights resistor switch and be sure that they are not turned off.
It's broke
Check your fuses. They are located on the left side of the driver's footwell, next up under the dashboard above the pedals.
If the Gauges on your instrument panel have stopped working you may have had a voltage converter stop working. This device mounted to the rear of your instrument panel converts the voltage from your alternator to the voltage that your gauges run off of. You can check the fuses with a multimeter and see if both sides have voltage showing, if so then see about replacing the voltage converter.
You should first make sure that the instrument panel dimmer control is not turned down, this can sometimes happen when dusting or cleaning your car. If you are not sure where it is, check the owners manual.
