You either take it to AutoZone and they will tell you why your check engine light came on in the first place so you can fix it. Or you go to AutoZone (or another place like it) and you buy the repair manual.

Look up ! It's on the inner hood.
I found mine on an older Toyota diesel 4 cylinder at the top of the block right before it mates with the head. It's right under the exhaust manifold. Not sure how easy it is to see with it on though.
To find the transmission dip stick on the 1986 Toyota Celica, open the hood of the car and locate the battery. Near the battery, you'll see the left front part of the engine compartment. That is where you'll find the dipstick.

Any engine, from any vehicle will fit in any other vehicle, manufatured on planet earth. I guess some people just have nothing better to do but make asses out of themselves anonymously. The engine MAY fit but probably not without a lot of modification. You would be better off trying to locate the same engine as the original from a Salvage Yard.
IF YOU FOLLOW THE LOWER RADIATOR HOSE TO THE ENGINE,YOU WILL LOCATE THE THERMOSTAT HOUSING.THERE ARE TWO BOLTS THAT HOLD THE HOUSING ON. THE THERMOSTAT SETS INSIDE THE HOUSING.
