Some knobs will have a set screw that you have to loosen (either Allen key or flathead screwdriver). If it does not, try and pull it straight off. If it is stubborn you can try using some penetrating lubricant.

∙ 13y agoThe majority of the knobs just pull straight off. Some of them have small set screws. Examine the sides of the knob to see if there is a set screw. If there is, loosen it then pull the knob straight off. If there isn't, just pull the knob straight off.

∙ 13y agoUse some WD-40 or if the tuning knob or peg is damaged replace them or have them replaced, theyre not that expensive unless you have a higher range electric like my Ibanez custom or a good classical.
