If it's serpentine, you have spring loaded idlers, you just pry. If not, loosen bolt on one of the accessory brackets with an adjustment slot (like alternator), then can move inboard.
I'm going to go with the alternator here.
loosen the alternator and it will slide right off Check 2carpros.com for a belt routing diagram.
A ratchet isÊneeded to loosen the serpentine belt tension pulley on a 2002 Jeep Wrangler V6. It will require a 1/2 inch ratchet.
buy a new belt
Loosen bolt in tension pulley, then loosen tension bolt. Replace belt. Tighten tension bolt. Last, tighten bolt through pulley.
If you looking behind or on the side of the power steering pump, you'll see a bolt. When you loosen the bolt, the pump will slide down and loosen the belt.
Maybe left handed thread
Looks like you have to loosen the tension on the serpentine belt first. Only one bolt is not easily accessed. If you don't loosen the belt, you have to hold the belt out the way (with tension on it) and try to get the bolt in and hold the housing up at the same time (good luck with that unless you have three hands), it can be done though. I am not much of a mechanic and it took me about 1.5 hours with the serpentine belt in place.
it is adjusted throught the power steering pump loosen the adjuster bolts remove belt and reverse
Heater core may be defective
