How do you make a best friend love you back?

NEVER change who you are if you are a good person.In life, some people are really going to like you and some people (no matter what a good person you are) won't like you. In growing up all these years I think that was the hardest part of life ... realizing not everyone is going to like you. Here is a few donts:

Never try to buy a friend with gifts (those can come later) Don't fall over yourself trying to please someone It's OK to phone up a new friend and ask if they want to go to a movie.

What?! How can he (or she) be your friend and NOT like you? If someone doesn't like you, you can hardly call him a friend, now, can you? Did you mean to say that you have a platonic friend of the opposite sex who you would like to be your girl/boyfriend? Is that what you're getting at? You wish to "more than just friends"? Compliment them on something (even if the compliment is a complete lie)

then start a conversation off of the compliment (but during the convo don't lie)

say something like i love your shirt were did you get it, the person replies

the you say something like ill have to go there after practice, they say what sport do you play and keep the convo going and you just made a friend love you

You don't it kind of just happens. The only problem with that is if you have a friend group it makes this super awkward. I used to like one of my best friends things got awkward with our friends so I kinda just stopped liking him. It's not like your gonna Marry him... We're teenagers people!! So if I were you I would just let things be and if he starts to like you... Great. So what if he doesn't he's not the only boy in the world

• You can't make anyone love you. Enjoy the friendship that you have together and have patience as the friendship could turn into romance. Don't sit around waiting for a move from your best friend, but start dating and that may make them realize they love you, but it is still a risk they just think of you as a friend, but at least you will know one way or the other.

• No so very long ago it was not unusual for a person to have many friends and several best friends. For some reason this new generation feels they have to have one best friend and a select few of other friends and they do not share. There is no reason you should have difficulties with a new friend that has come into your friends life. If your friend has completely ignored you to be with their best friend then see them in person and express how you feel. Let your friend know you feel excluded. Good communication skills resolve most problems in life.
