To make a folder read only on a Mac you right click on the folder and select Get info from the menu. At the bottom of the Info window, in the Sharing & Permissions section, you can set Read/Write privileges but you need to be an administrator to do this.
read only hidden ready for archiving compressed
Read only by default. You can open it up to either Fullc Controll, Change, Read-only.
Right click on the read only folder and click properties, then in the properties window under the general tab, uncheck the read-only box then click apply. On the next window that comes up click apply to all subfolders, files etc.
In order to prevent the deletion of a folder (or file, program, etc.) in Windows, locate the folder with the find function or with Windows Explorer, right click or select the File menu, select Properties, then click the Read-Only box. Files can still be saved to or deleted from the folder, but if you try to delete the folder it will warn you that the folder is read-only. use access administror pro software. download avalaible. search google
To fix it, simply find your iTunes folder (located in My Documents > My Music, in my case), right click the folder's icon and choose 'Properties'. From here, click 'Advanced' and make sure that Fast indexing is switched off for the folder. Also, make sure that in the main properties dialog box, 'Read only' is completely unchecked.
