Download &/or purchase a copy of Acronis True Image Home. This allows you to create a "Secure Zone" - a hidden FAT partition; enable "Acronis Start Up Manager" - f11 startup option to boot into the Acronis toolset from the hidden partition; and create an image your boot (or other) partition in the hidden partition.
Probably so users don't try to store anything on the drive; that would mess it up if you ever needed to boot to the recovery partition of your hard drive
Hidden partitions are typically found on Brand name PCs such as HP (hewlette packard), Dell, Acer, and Gateway. This hidden, or system partition, is used to do system recoverys (not to be confused with system restore). The data for those partions contain everything needed to get you're system up and running should you have severe software problems (windows not starting, or crashes every now and then, or if you want to restart things like when it was brand new)
re-install the hiding software. Each program uses their own unique software to encript data. You cannot use another program to "Unhide" data that another program has encripted. Now, if you simply made the file hidden through windows. Open windows explorer "Windows Button + E" Click tools>Options Select folder options then click show hidden files and folders. Then browse to the last place you had the file. That's the best advice I can give.... Hope this helps!

I used a program called 'EASEUS' - My laptop was supplied with one hard-drive partitioned into two equal sections. I wanted to 'grab' some space from the recovery partition, as it was much bigger than it needed to be. Easeus did the job quickly, seamlessly and without loss of data. Back-up your personal files just in case though ! See the related link to their web-site for the free download.
An operating system is always needed in a computer. It is like a surface where you can install your softwares. Without it, computer hardwares like the hard disk or Random access memory etc can not load the softwares itself. All the operating systems work like each others. There are no major differences in these.
On MS platforms, the system partition is used to hold the boot files. The boot partition holds all the windows operating system files. Leave it to Microsuck to mis-lable the partition hiearchy. The system partition holds what is loaded and executed first after the computer runs through its preliminary BIOS boot sequence. It tells the computer where to start loading the operating system from; the boot partition. The boot partition is where all the program files (thousands of them) needed by the operating system are stored. If the system partition is deleted; the computer will not find the operating system. If the boot partition is deleted, again; the computer will not find the operating system.

Adding hidden layer sometimes reduce the total number of weights needed for suitable approximation.
Sometimes it is needed due to the memory of the old hardisks otherwise just needed for partition of the hard drives
The Data Recovery Geeks is a great data recovery service based out of London. They will come to one's home and do everything needed to make sure as much data as possible can be saved.
