My personal favorite (probably saw it on Bill Nye the Science Guy) is a fish tank with a solid lid (representing the closed system of the earth), cardboard cutout of city skyline and a road (preferably not flammable), matchbox cars with small pieces of incense stick where the tailpipe is; light the incense, put the cars on the road, put the lid on the fish tank and watch as the smoke fills the tank.

There are many ways to make a model of land pollution for a school science exhibition. One idea is to show a diorama of land and lake area clean next to a diorama of the same scene with sludge in the water.

if you want to make a working model for water pollution, then you need actual water, some food colouring, some drops of oil, some pieces of papers and dust.

take a big container and fill it with water. add some food colouring at the end only when the teachers come to see your model. adding food colour depicts the chemicals. then make some factories with cardboard in the banks. if you want to make oil factories, then drop some oil into the water along with the food colouring. this makes your model sucessful. if you want, show some animals and humans dieing near the vessel containing the water. also add the dust and pieces of paper to show litter around and in the water.

Incense can be used to show pollution. Put it in a clear cup with holes at the bottom so it can breath and watch it fill with smoke.
