Everything depends on what video or audio editing package/software are you using?
For distortion of audio I recommend using a separate program (e. g. Adobe Audition CS3, or more simple Adobe SoundBooth CS3 or Audacity). When you find your "perfect" software, you might want to look at sevveral types of audio effects (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sound_effect) and look what distortion do you need.
In Premiere, there is a special, more detailed, effect named Invert. You choose channels that you want to invert (choose RGB) and set some things then click OK.
The options vary, depending on the specific software. If you don't already have a software, you might get the freeware IrfanView, which has options both to flip an image (exchange left and right; or up and down), and to invert colors (it is not entirely clear to me which you mean).
to restore the color you can undo, or you can try to invert the colors back into the picture at one of the top settings on the program. to restore the color you can undo, or you can try to invert the colors back into the picture at one of the top settings on the program.

Invert Level and Invert Elevation are one in the same. Invert Level = Invert Elevation (IE).
