Attaching a jet pack always made mine go faster...although they are hard to find at a good price.
Alternate Ideas would be:
- Pouring Nitromethane in the gas tank
- Ride downhill
- Place a bigger engine in it.
- Buy aerodynamic clothes
- Put bigger wheels on.
- Ride closer to the body
