How do you manually release the hood on a 1995 Honda Civic LX if the hood release does not work?

where is the release broken? if all else fails raise the front of the car and remove the plastic nuts that hold the bottom of the bumber to the sub frame. next reach your hand up through the space you uncovered and find the cable that releases the hood. grab it and pull. this should do it. or you cah each through the grill with some LONG needle nose plires and do the same thing.
