You need to get EPA certified to move and handle refrigerant. That will involve an educational course on the operation and maintenance of air conditioning and refrigeration units, and can cost quite a bit...unless you join the US Navy and select one of the engineering fields...then you will have the opportunity to go to AC&R school and get the certification for free.
