There are two ways to do this. First, you can break a few vanes out of the grill, and use a long screw driver to operate the lever that the cable pulls, or you can lay on your back underneath the vehicle, and using a long screwdriver operate the same lever. The latter is usually very difficult.
get a pair of pliers and grab the cable attached to the the hood popper and pull while pulling the hood lever it should pop open
Pull on it with a pliers or locking pliers. This happened to me after a couple days of extreme cold.
From under car... its not too bad on a lift you can find cable near the hood need to get the inner wire and pull with pliers
if the cable broke at the handle inside the car there will be a black cable with steel cable inside cut the black cable back so you see the steel cable get a par of visegrip pliers and pole the steel cable til the hood opens.
my Beretta is a 94 and it hood release is broke just the silver cable show ,,, i use needle nose pliers and pull it !
Go through the gril with a pair of needle nose pliers and a flat head screw driver, pry over the lever and get the needle nose pliers to pull on the cable
Is the cable broken or just the handle that you pull? If just the handle, you should be able to pull the cable with a pair of pliers. Have someone push down on the hood just a little bit while you pull. May also need to pry the hood up also. If and when you get it up, lubricate the latch with anything, oil, WD40, something. If it is broken where you cannot get to, you may be able to get the grill out, or possible get the cable to come thru the grill and pulling on it there.
If it is just the plastic handle broken, behind that is the cable that opens the hood. Just grab the cable with a pair of pliers and pull. You can probably just replace the inside handle and not have to run a new cable.
Use a set of pliers to pull the cable even if the plastic latch is broken...
If there is a small piece of cable still showing clamp a vise grip pliers on it and pull
Use pliers and pull the cable...
first thing you do is get yourself a pair of needlenose pliers with the cutter on them then lay down under the front of the car. you will see the cable to the hood release from underneath the front of the car. reach the pliers up and cut the cable housing but not all the way through it, so dont squeeze too hard when you cut. after you snipped through the housing not the cable, reach back up with the pliers where you made the cut and pull down towards the ground and the hood will release. j to the izzo
