If there is any cable showing at the handle just pull on it with a pair of pliers. You can probably take the grill out and get to the cable there. grab a pair of little vice grips get it on the wire keep em there till u get it fixed
There is no such thing as a Chrysler Caprice Classic. Chevy made a car called the Caprice (I had a 1969).
lay under the front end of the 85 Caprice and reach the hood latch to pull it. You may need a pair of pliers to gain extra arm length.
Snapped means broken cleanly.

How could it not be? Something in your body snapped!
Both of these codes are for the crankshaft Position Sensor. You should look at the connector that plugs into the senosr to make sure you have no broken or frayed wires. If that ok you should take it to a mechanic.
Its not easy. I did it on a 77 Caprice and it took me three days and two broken fingers. Take it to a shop.
We reglued her head on once, worked fine until it snapped off again. Terrible design.
the cluth cable could be broken... i had the same problem but i bought a new one.
The odds are that the speedometer cable is snapped (it will not look broken so you can not tell without disconnecting it) or the transmission speedometer output gear is broken. Y-THINK-Y
With a broken chain the engine won't run at all.
