Remove the Phillips screw in the cup holder. Reomver the holder. Release the four latches on the engine compartment cover. Rotate the cover down and to the rear of the van. Tight fit
That's the metal wall that divides the engine compartment from the passengers
As far as I can tell, there is no EGR valve on 1993 Ford Aerostar 3.0L engines. I have searched and found none and the vacuum hose routing decal in the engine compartment does not show an EGR valve.
its either on the side of your distibutor or on the passenger side fire wall of your engine compartment.
On the passenger side of the engine about half way down inside the engine compartment toward the front of the engine compartment
On a 1993 Ford Aerostar , 3.0L V6 engine : The distributor is located on the TOP of the engine , near the REAR
A 1993 Ford Aerostar would have come from the factory with ( 5W-30 )
On the rear of the engine on the passenger side
It appears that the Ford Aerostar with 3.0 engine does not have a crank position sensor, but the 4.0 engine does have one.
in the engine compartment you have relays at lease on my 1993 i have 4 the no. 4 relay if removed car wont start try this. I have a 1990 aerostar 3.0, I shut it off and at the store, then wouldn't start, and I replaced the module on the side of the distributer and it fixed the problem.
According to one of the Ford websites : For a 1993 Ford Aerostar , 4.0 liter V6 engine : ( the spark plugs are gapped at .054 inch )
The engine air filter is located inside the air cleaner housing , on the passenger side of your engine compartment ( just follow the big rubber " tube " from the front of your engine , near the top of the engine , over to the passenger side of your engine compartment )
