There is a yellow button on in your glove compartment for your trunk!!!!!!! Its in the left side right when you open your glove compartment. Same thing happened to me. I figured it out though.. READ THE MANUAL!!!! there is no yellow button and i left the keys in trunk, please help pull the back seat appart and you can gain access to the trunk that way. Remove the rear seat. Very quick & simple. Helps if two people work together to do this. Locate the small black pull tabs on the lower, forward edge of the seat bottom. Pull GENTLY about 1/4" forward to release the clip that holds the seat. Lift the front edge of the seat bottom and then pull the seat bottom forward and remove from the car. Locate the two nuts at the lower edge of the seat back that hold it in place. Remove the two nuts (I think a 10 mm deep socket would be right, but I just used an adjustable wrench - thats all I had in my portable tool kit). Slide/lift the seatback upward until the three retaining clips (near the top of the seatback) are free. Remove the seatback from the car. Three black plastic clips at the top edge of the structure that hold the rear speaker/package tray in place need removed. There is a tool to do this but a thin screwdriver and a pair of pliers work fine. I have damaged these clips before (in other applications) and they are readily available at your local jobber auto parts mart. Once the clips are removed, carefully manipulate the black sound/dustpad upward over the seat belts and from the plastic side panels. The trunk compartment is now exposed. The re-installation is the reverse of the removal. There is some difficulty with putting the black pad back under the plastic side panels but patience, small fingers and a small plastic putty type tool is helpful. I did this the first time in about 20 minutes start to finish (including unloading the trunk contents through this opening and locating the keys in the trunk !!)
A torch
From the inside of the trunk..... You have to remove the inside to get to the bolts.... The there you go......
It should be in the glove box
Have you tried the trunk lock button inside of the glove box? Greg
There is a sticker on the inside of the trunk lid that has that information.
The trunk switch on the dash should still operate unless the trunk release switch inside the glove box has been turned off.
Sell the car.

how do you pop the trunk from the inside on a 1992 buick park ave
You have to pull the backrest of the seat out, take a long flat head screwdriver and you will see a little square box with a square wedge, just turn it to the right and trunk will pop open, the job should only take 30 minutes
Inside the glove box on the left. You'll see it right beside the trunk release button
