you open the transmission case it's in front and it have black color and it's gonna be in front of you don't forget to take look at the old one so you can put the new one easily
Yes, but only in case if the mounts on your car are already shot. If it's the case you should replace them ASAP because damaged mounts are known for causing very serious mechanical problems to transmission.
I would take it to someone like the dealer since it is a pain ( I did one this weekend) you have to have a screwdriver coming from the top and the bottom of the transaxle case and push in the throw out bearing while you push back on the transmission.

The transfer case for your 4X4 is bolted to the rear of the transmission
In a nutshell: Unbolt 4 nuts/bolts from rear of driveshaft from rear differential. Pull driveshaft out of transfercase. Unbolt driveshaft's carrier bearing from chassis. Unbolt and pull transfer case off of transmission. I'm in the process of doing an AWD swap into my Spyder now ! :) IHTH Brian
the speed sensor for 2004 Mitsubishi Galant is located on the front case of the transmission output shaft and speed sensor. It is approximately under the hood to the left of the engine.
