Well, to contact other users you must write a message on their message board. Go to their bio page, and under their badges, there is an envelope symbol with 'message this user' link. Click on that to write a message on their message board.As for getting their names and being friends with them, that is up to the person you contacted.

Can you stop other Wikianswers users from sending you messages?
If you mean postings on your message board - then no. There is no option to stop people adding comments to your message board.
Can you simultaneously send the selfsame message to all the WikiAnswers users who ever left you a message on your message board?
No such option exists on WikiAnswers at this moment.
On the message board can you send mail to other users on WikiAnswers?
If you want to leave a message for another user, you have to go to that person's message board. You can't send mail from your own board, except for using the "reply" function, which will take you to the other person's board.

How can you Email on WikiAnswers?
WikiAnswers email accounts are only given to WikiAnswers Supervisors. There is the message board feature on WikiAnswers that you can use to message other users. Simply click on 'Message This User' on the top right of a users bio page to add a message.
How do you send a message to another contributor?
Go to that users profile. Scroll to bottom. Hit "add a message on [username]'s message board. Type your message, hit post and fill out the reCAPTCHA.
Can you visit other peoples profile?
Yes you can by click on a users name they usually appear on your message board or at the bottom of the answer.

Yes, you can. There are several ways to do it. You can report the question to a supervisor by putting a message on their message board or you can hit the "report abuse" button.
Why won't a user respond to your messages you post on their message board?
Many users and supervisors are busy. Patience or email may be your best choice to receive an answer. It may also be that the user does not have an answer and you should post the question in public instead of on a message board.
