One option is to siphon it from one car directly to the other. It's quick and only requires a hose.
One should just under the battery, another one is the gas tank attached to the gas pump.
you mean your fuel pump was working until you ran out of gas and now it doesn't work? yes, if you have an electric in-tank fuel pump, you need a new one. fuel pumps in the tank require lubrication to prevent them from overheating, and the fuel in your tank keeps the fuel pump "wet". when you run out of gas, you run it "dry" and will destroy the fuel pump.
One of the greatest benefits of the electric car is that you can totally avoid the gas pump. With rising gas prices, this will be a great savings for you. It will also be helpful for the environment. Almost every car manufacturer is producing or has an electric car under production. So check with your favorite dealer and see what model of electric car they have available.
You can siphon gas from any car by sticking a small hose in the fuel tank. Apply suction to the hose and the gas will exit the tank. This is especially helpful when you fill the tank with the wrong type of fuel.
One would be to save gas. Another is it is easier on your car third to just be lazy ;)
If gasoline pours out from under your car, and you are not in the process if adding fuel, you have a gas leak and should call the fire department and a mechanic who makes house calls or has a tow truck. If you are in the process of adding fuel and the gas pump didn't stop automatically, you may have had your fuel pump replaced with one that did not fit exactly or it did not seal properly to the gas tank.
If the symbol is the gas tank with an arrow on one side or another, it is a reminder of which side the gas cap is on, so you can pull into the correct side of the gas pump.
There are two of them one is just under the battery and another one is in the gas tank, attached to the fuel pump.
on my 92 745..one is in the gas tank, the main pump is under the car around where the armrest is
if you are leaking gas, one of your fuel lines is leaking. Locate where it is leaking from. DO NOT DRIVE THE CAR IN THIS CONDITION. if it overflowed at the pump out of the fuel door, it may been a faulty pump.
If you're changing a mechanical fuel pump, you start by unhooking the battery. Then put the new pump next to the old one. Transfer both hoses from the old pump to the new one. Unbolt the old pump (13mm wrench) and remove it. Drain the gas into your lawn mower gas can or something. Put the new pump where the old once was and bolt it in. If you're changing to an electric pump, that's a story for another day.
The fuel pump is in the gas tank. You need to remove the tank to get to the pump. No there is not an access point inside the car. Yes, there should be. Chang the strainer when you replace the pump and don't buy a cheap pump. They are a pain to replace in one month.
