The 1200 has a dip stick near the the oil fil cap. Check it while the bike is on the center stand. After unscrewing the dipstick and wiping it off you check the oil level without screwing the dipstick back in. Simply put the dipstick in the hole, remove and check. After verifying the proper oil level, then screw the dipstick back into the engine block
The filler cap is on the right side, lower part of the engine. There is no dip stick. Its a window that you look in, in the same area. On the center stand, look in the window with a flash lite to see the level. If the engine has enough oil in it, then with the engine running, as you look in the window, have someone shut the engine down. You will see the oil level off to be able to see the level.
Yes. Look just under the rad. It has like fins on the casing with just a center bolt. Filter is inside. Watch as you take it out, there is a washer and a spring in ther. Put it back the same way. There is a notch on the engine block to where the housing lines up.
