Yes, that is how they are made
The low side fitting should be on the left side of the firewall
Yes any Storm motor will fit in any storm, however you will also need the wiring harness from the new engine if it is not the IDENTICAL motor. You will also then need the ECM. Storm Motors Include 1.6 SOHC 12v (90-93 Base Model) 1.6 DOHC 16v (90-91 GSi) 1.8 DOHC 16v (92-93 GSi) Sources... www.isuzone.org www.stormowners.com
There's a plug above and behind (If you're looking in from the drivers side) the CV. It's easiest to get to if you take of the airbox and use a funnel with a long hose.
i want to know if a new clutch was put in a 1990 geo storm can it break in half in two days just driving arount town
A Chevrolet 502 if you want to do all the work that would take. Realistically, a 1.8L DOHC 16V out of the Geo Storm GSI is about the most you're gonna fit in there.
It should have R-134 from the factory
On the low pressure side. A charging hose will only fir on the low pressure side of the AC system.
you dont only a certified shop can handle R12
Chances are your leaking freon. There may be a leak in one of the seals.
the clutch is really easy to install and the timing belt is not a problem if its shot The 1993 Geo Storm is not an interference motor, because my belt just broke,(Nov 2005) and I got the same question answered on the following website: "www.nutzandboltz.org". My daughter's 1990 Geo Storm timing belt broke while she was driving it. She tried to start the engine but it would not run. We were told that it was an interference motor and that the motor was now shot. Being a little skeptical of the "experts" I put a new timing belt on and the engine started and has run fine for several months (clutch just went out). So much for the experts, by the way how ard is it to change the clutch? Thanks M in Omaha
