Number one rule with refrigerant is, "If you have to add it, you have a leak." Auto refrigerant is sold in pressurized cans and, to my knowledge, requires certification to purchase and use. There will be a port with a cap on the line coming out of the top of the compressor. Screwing the can on will fill it, but overcharging will reduce the cooling power of the refrigerant.
You can buy it at any auto store. Even Walmart carries it. No need for a cert.

where do you put freon in on a 2000 gmc jimmy

A 1982 Oldsmobile was built to use R12, it would need retrofitted to R134a..
Go look at the answer that was posted for, "How do I put freon in a 1996 mercury villager?" This answer is most likely what you are looking for.
If you are referring to the AC system, then it is R-34,which you can pick up at most parts stores. One can will do but you will need one with a valve. Also, when you go to put it into the line, make sure it is the low pressure line so it ingests the refrigerant.
The 1992 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme uses R12 freon and needs 36 ounces. R12 is no longer being made, but is still being recycled and is still available through online auctions.
you dont freon does not go into cars you can buy a recharge kit from any parts store you
In the 2000 Ford Taurus the low side freon port when facing the car from the front is on the left side fire wall. It may have a blue or black cap.
Connect a freon gauge and freon can to the low side ac port. Start the engine and turn the ac on high. Open the valve to allow the freon to flow until the gauge reads full.
How do I take the back panel off
7 qts refill for auto trans 13 qts if you drain the torque converter too
Put trans. fluid in through the dipstick hole, be careful not to overfill
There is one valve that is used to add refrigrant. But you had better not add Freon. Freon is R12 and your vehicle's A/C system does not have Freon (R12) as a refrigrant. More than likely it uses R134a.
To put freon in a 2000 F150 car, attach the A/C gauge set to the service ports. Add additional cans of refrigerant, as needed, to fill the system until the pressures are between 40 and 350 PSI.
Put your seat belt on.
Where do I put freon in a 2007 chevy impala
Take the old one out and put the new one in. You will have to remove the rubber snorkel from filter to intake plenum in order to get at the filter.
where is the access code? you have to have your access code or the CD player wont work
Compressor lubricant is mixed in with the freon and will enter the system when it is recharged
probably, i would guess so but i wouldn't try it until i was sure.
You usually use 4, however mine has always gotten 5. I have 200,000 miles so it cant hurt anything.
