Hi To put your device in DFU mode Hold the sleep/wake button and the home button for 10-20 secs. Easy.
cause jailbraking breaks i pods the only way to charge it is put it in dfu made or get a wall charger
You can't. iPod touches don't have vibrators inside.
You first need to put it in DFU mode, then restore, or if you are trying to Jailbreak it, you need to restore to OriginalFW.ipsw and then follow the jailbreak instructions.
this recently happened to me and i started freaking out, but you just have to do everything in reverse the way you put your ipod into DFU mode. Instructions: 1)Hold the home button for 10-15 seconds 2)hold the power and home button for 8 seconds 3)hold the power button for 2-3 seconds By now it should turn on. It worked for me after i freaked out for 10minutes
Restore it on iTunes on your computer or put it into recovery mode then restore it
Well if you were pressing any buttons at the time, you may have put it into DFU mode. You do this by holding the home button and the power button at the same time for 10 seconds. To get it out of DFU mode, do the same. If you weren't pressing buttons, the battery probably died. Just plug your iPod in for about 2 hours and see if it works. If it doesn't, go to this link- http://www.apple.com/support/ipodtouch/troubleshooting/ipodtouch/ From there you can determine if you need to bring it to a nearby Apple store. Hope this helps!
Yes, put your iPod in manual mode in iTunes and you can select what content you'd like to put on it.
You can put the iPhone into DFU mode and do a full restore via iTunes, this is similar to "flashing".
on an iPod touch, if Springboard crashes, it'll reset your iPod and put it into safe mode. Like a computer goes into when it crashes and you restart it. The only difference is that you can work with ANYTHING in safe mode on your ipod touch, which is necessarily the iPods state after springboard crashing.
