The spark plug wires on your 1994 Chevrolet Caprice are quite easy to change. The spark plug wires simply lift off on each end. Put the new spark plug wires on and push until you feel a click.
To add, this is a 5.7 v8 engine.
you either did not gap the plugs to spec or you put this wires on wrong
(This is from the 91 Caprice service manual for the HEI ignition system) Looking at the distributor cap from the front of the engine bay, and running clockwise around the cap from about the 1 o'clock position, the wire numbering is: 3,6,5,7,2,1,8,4
Need to know what year and engine size.
Yes, if the spark plug wires can be connected to the distributor and works.
Distributor
It is in the very back of the engine. Just follow the spark plug wires from the spark plugs and they will go to the top of the Distributor. That will be the distributor cap that the wires are in.
it has to be the distributor cap or rotor or wires...plug wires.
Check the distributor and spark plug wires.
The distributor could be failling, there might not be enough fuel or air reaching the engine (too much is bad too), or your spark plugs/wires are damaged or not to spec.
