There are many ways to avoid car accident one of the important things to consider is take yourself away from destruction such as cell phones, then buckle your seatbelt, stay awake while driving and drive with speed limit.

The first and the foremost step to reduce the number of accidents is to have proper training in the techniques of driving. This should be preferably done in an authorised training school. They will, according to the country of residence, give vital tips on the rules of the road, road sense, anger management, etc.

Secondly, never, i repeat, NEVER, treat the road as your own, which means respect every user who uses it, including drivers and pedestrians.


Thirdly, buy a good vehicle. Not necessarily a new car, second or even third hand cars, in good condition is enough. Heavily modified, raced, tampered cars are a strict no-no. Check for problems, use the help of a mechanic, if you're not sure of your own auto-mobile engineering skills(For second and older cars).


Fourthly, check your vehicle for potential problems at least before every alternate journey(preferably before EVERY journey) and rectify them at the earliest. Its better to be shocked to realise something was wrong while you were in the garage, rather than realising the same while you were driving!


Fifth, service your vehicle as recommended by the manufacturer, everything needs a visit to a doctor regularly! The older the vehicle gets, the more care it needs, and if it gets gets that, it works really fine.


Keep yourself fit, physically and mentally. Never drive if you are drowsy/drunken/tired. Try be calm while driving, if that's not possible, take a cab or the bus.
