First get the wheel off, second pull the brake drum off. If you can not get the drum off you have to lossen the breaks. There is a slot in the back of the vacuum plate on the bottom. Stick a flat screw driver in and turn adjuster counter clock wise this will lossen the break shoes. the drum should pull off. Then remove the springs; just remember which was they go back on. You can set the whole vechile on jack stand's and use the other side as a reference.

If you're trying to remove the brake drum, be sure to NOT have the emergancy brake on. Remove the wheel and tap the drum with a rubber mallet until it releases, That's it!
