Click the catch all question you want to remove from your watch list, then click 'cancel updates' from the question tools menu bar on the left of your screen. You will need to do this for each different catch all question that you have in your watchlist.

How do you use catch-all questions on WikiAnswers?

The catch-all questions are used by supervisors to remove questions of a harmful, unallowed, or incomplete nature. There is a list of these at the Help Center.

In your watchlist why are you getting questions of no value and different categories than the 3 you choose?

The question(s) you are watching may have been reworded or have been merged into another question. If the question was merged into a catch-all question designed for inappropriate questions, then your Watchlist may show some of these questions.

Why do catch-all questions keep on appearing in your watchlist?

If a question you have asked was somehow not acceptable for the site, then it is sometimes merged into a catch-all. The catch-all explains why the question was not acceptable, and you will receive an update.

Why doesn't WikiAnswers block inappropriate questions?

WikiAnswers doesn't 'block' inappropriate questions, but rather stores them so no one can answer an inappropriate question that has already been asked. It is called a 'Catch-All', and it stores all of the inappropriate questions so when a user types in an inappropriate question that has already been asked and merged into that Catch-All, they will get an answer telling them that inappropriate questions are not allowed on WikiAnswers. In a way, WikiAnswers does 'block' inappropriate questions.

Does every rude question get answered on WikiAnswers?

Very rude questions are merged into catch-all question. It is a redirect to hamful question, not enough information to answer questions etc... These Catch-all questions are protected.

Why do you have Two answers for one question on wikianswers and how do you know which one people are recommending?

WikiAnswers is set up to recognize duplicate questions, but if there's even one word different, both questions will appear. A WikiAnswers Supervisor will usually catch this and combine the answers, eventually.

What questions should be removed from WikiAnswers?

Many questions should be removed from WikiAnswers, but when it is removed from the data bases completely, people can just ask it again. There is a category called the 'Catch-All' category, and every question in it is the storage question to all answers that shouldn't belong on WikiAnswers. This category of questions has storage questions from having not enough information, to relating to cyberbullying.

Why is there spam on WikiAnswers?

Because some people find it to be hilarious or of the sort to do such stuff on WikiAnswers, we do our best to catch it all and deal with it as soon as possible. Feel free to flag questions, or report questions to Supervisors so they can take care of it!

What questions are WikiAnswers removing?

Questions are ALWAYS removed or moved to the 'Catch-All Questions' category or in the sub-categories if the question does not either make sense, offensive, not enough information etc.

What are questions that should be deleted?

This is a Catch-all question to be used to "round-up" questions that are copyright infringements (copied and pasted from other sites). All questions merged to this should be reviewed for deletion from WikiAnswers.

Which categories on WikiAnswers are for Supervisors only?

The categories that are open only for supervisors are the catch-all categories. Note: 'Catch-all Questions' the category, not the catch-all categories (e.x. 'Adds No Value') is able to be viewed by regular contributors and regular contributors have the ability to add questions there.

What is the meaning of a 'protected question' on WikiAnswers?

A 'protected question' is a question that you temporarily cannot answer or edit. There are two reasons a question is protected on WikiAnswers:1. The question is a catch-all. Catch all questions are where we "catch" potentially harmful questions or questions that violate our Terms of Use to keep them from obtaining potentially harmful or illegal answers that will violate our Terms of Use. We keep these questions in a safe place - the catch all - rather than deleting them from the database. These questions generally remain protected indefinitely.2. The question has become a debate. This includes questions with answers that may contain inflammatory remarks that are being "updated" by various users, which, in turn, creates a debate. WikiAnswers is not a debate forum. It is a question and answer - social knowledge - website. These questions are likely to be unprotected after some period of time - when users have had a chance to cool off and move on from the topic - in order to reopen the question to improvements for a better, updated answer. If you feel that a protected question should become unprotected, please contact Reopen @ answers.com (remove spaces).
