I would try the Best Cleaner Ever from ScraPerfect. It is effective and safe--for people and the environment. It removes adhesive residue from tapes and also glue yet it has no fumes and is safe for skin. (It also removes spray paint and sharpie markers...) You can Google it--there are lots of videos about it even one just for Tuck Tape!

If you mean sellotape (scotch-tape), I've done it by rubbing hard with lavender-oil and cleaning the residue off with a wet-wipe or baby-wipe.

A paper type tape used mostly for painting purposes. It's used to mask areas you don't want to get paint on. Maksing tape is difficult to remove and leaves a sticky residue. Seldom used anymore. Blue painter's Tape is the preferred product. Gives sharp edges, easy to remove and no residue.
Tuck tape is much stronger and has better adhesive.
Cut the tape carefully with a craft knife and remove the mullions. Pull the remaining tape and get rid of residue with Goo Gone.
