Use a screwdriver with tape over the tip to release the clip under the bottom of the wood trim bezel. Pull out and detach the wiring harness. The switch has a printed circuit board inside. Turn the unit face down if you want to open it up and see the "innards." Remove the 3 larger screws and the top/bottom will then come apart. Remove the 4 smaller screws to access the circuit board. Be careful to not dump out the plastic pistons (look like stubby nails) since they have nothing to hold them in if you tip the button portion over. I switched some of the pistons around to see if that would help my passenger front window ops. Now, it will go down but not up unless you run it all the way down first. Better than "fighting" with it for 10 minutes to get it back up.
Used switches are probably the way to go since a new one from a Lexus dealer is $850 to $900. Add labor and the usual ridiculous shop and paperwork fees, and sales tax, and the Lexus dealer in Davenport, Iowa would have the bill over $1,000. You can likely find a used one for $150 to $250. Just make sure you get a guarantee with it.

The door panel removal: Remove the door handle with a star driver, then remove the three Phillips screws holding the panel in place. Next lift the panel up over the door latch. Turn the panel over, and pop out the master switch, being careful not to snap of the one way clips that hold it in. I saw master switch replacements on EBay between $50 and $100 or you can try the junk yard.

It is not a switch it is a plug. It is on the driverside just in front of your master cylinder for your breaks ( the part that holds the break fluid ). The wires plug in to the top just pull straight up and it should come out. You HAVE to take it in so they can doccument that the wires have been unplugged but you can do it yourself if you need to. WARNING YOU CAN AND WILL HAVE FIRES AND PROBLEMS WITH THE SPEED CONTROLL SWITCH EVEN IF YOU DO NOT USE THE CRUISE CONTROLL YOU NEED TO HAVE IT UNPLUGGED!!!!!
