Follow these steps and your brake drum should be off in no time. By the way, make sure emergency brake is off!
1. Losen the bolts on the tire you will be taking off.
2. Lift car with appropriate jack. It is also important to use a jack stand to
prevent car from falling off jack. There will be hammering involved later, so
better to be safe!
3. Remove tire.
4. Try and pry the brake drum off. It probably won't budge. Grab a hammer (no
need for rubber mallet...go for a hammer) and pound away at the drum. DO
NOT hit the threads where the bolts go. Instead, hit square on the metal
part of the drum. You should see brake dust and debris flying everywhere.
5. Keep hammering away (use force!) until drum pops off.
