To replace the Engine cooling fan relay on a 1988 Deville you need to remove the radiator. After the radiator is out you will see the relay, disconnect it pull it out and install the new one.

The cooling fan relay is located below the battery on the side of the chassis. It is held by 2 small I think 8mm bolts. It is best to use a socket to remove it. You will need to remove the air box first.
