easy.......there r bolts (like 6 or so) that u need to undo. U have to take off the door handle cover and the grasp handle on the door and the triangle cover up by the mirror and disconnect any power windows or locks. When you are positive u have all the screws out and no electrical cords are connected through the door, just pull (gently) on the clamps that hold the panel on. Go around the door and carefully pull them out one or two at a time because you don't want to break any.

I have a 2000 Grand Prix which I believe has the same type of door panel. There are 2 Torx Head screws that are behind the two plastic plugs behind the door pull handle. Once these are removed, just pull out the panel aby pulling round the outside of the panel.

you really need a door panel removal tool to do it properly. Remove the two screws located on under the interior pull handle. These screws uslay have a plastic plug on them to hide the screws. Slowly pull the panel away from the bottom of the door. These panels have plastic retaing clips holding them in. There is a tool that is made to remove these safley but you can remove them with out it by pulling the panel a little at a time working your way in a circle till the panel is off. After panel is romved check plastic clips for damage. Install the reverse from top to bottom pushing plastic retainers in slowly all the way around.

Remove the two plastic plugs by the door handle, probably some Philips screws along the bottom and near the hinges. Behind the door handle area, you may need a torx bit T-30. Have some spare nylon GM grommets available. Pull the panel along where the grommets are located. A large flat screwdriver or door panel remover will help prevent you from bending the panel and cracking/tearing it.
