Assuming it's the same as a my 95 Bronco, there are 4 tiny tiny holes in the corner of your factory radio, you need to buy the Ford key from your dealer, (assuming they still have them) if not use some small wire, (I think I cut up a coat hanger) insert and sorta twist and pull out, it's difficult but it's the way it's done, Google arround for some pics. Also if you have the Ford Premium Sound System (that sounds like crap) it will have an external Amp and you'll need to either A hunt down special wire harness, or buy the regular one, local the external amp under the steering column, unplug it and run it up behind the dash the radio (it's tight but it does work) cut it splice it to your new radio.

Remove the 1993 Toyota decorative radio cover in. Remove the radio retaining screws. Pull the radio out. Remove the wiring harness.
by using the Ford radio removal horseshoe tools. Takes a couple of seconds.
It should have ( 4 ) small holes around the radio corners, simply take some cut up clothes hanger and insert them into the holes and pull out, you may have to work with it a little bit they usually don't come out the first time.

Remove the cup holder and ashtray assemblies, pull the dash face off (tilt the stearing wheel all the way down). Then remove the bolts that hold the radio in the dash, pull the radio out and unhook all the wires from the back.
Remove the decorative radio retaining plate. Remove the retaining screws. Pull the radio out. Remove the wiring harness. Remove the antenna cable.
you can pop off the front panel with small screwdriver then there are 4 screws that are phillip unscrew the 4 bolt and it should fall out
To remove the factory stereo on 1996 dodge ram 1500 you need to pop the hood on the Ram and remove the ashtray. Slide the stereo out of the dash and unplug the cables from the back of the stereo.
