you take the the rubber off the outside of the govenor and there is a green wire that is on on side of the govenor its in the middle of the govonor box its just one wire by its self you can"t miss it its like a half circle you just cut it in half
take the govenor off or just loosen it alot it increases your speed alot. or just buy a 6.5 horsepower engine. I weigh about 125 pounds and when i took the govenor off i fly on that baby ---edit--- Taking off the governor puts your engine at risk of failure. Add a 5.5 or 6.5HP engine for relatively cheap. This will ensure engine safety, while giving you much, much more power.
The govenor sits directly above the reeds before the intake on the Carb. Its a big metal peice. Be careful when removing, I removed mine and it has never run right since.

hi,you can reset the govenor like i did,i bought a replacement chip for the ecu which takes it off also adds a little hp,you can get these for around £60 off eBay
take the front grill support off if the engine is in the car. then remove the plate covering the cam. then remove the cam?. it is alot easier with the engine on a stand.
By governor are you talking about the fuel cut-off that makes the car lurch and jerk at about 125 MPH? It is in the ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT. You would have to put a chip in the car or find someone who can reprogram the ECU to remove that fuel cut-off signal.
Take the transmission pan off>take filter out>govenor sensor housing in this area
you have to remove the belt tensioner to remove the belt off of the engine.
The engine of what? The car? And usually, everything must be turned off before its safe to remove or install anything.
Take it off
Remove the engine, strip off all the accessories and send it out to a machine shop for rebuilding.
