It requires a power steering pulley PULLER, You can rent them at a parts store.
You need a power steering pump pulley puller tool. This will remove the pulley, so you can get to the other mounting bolts.

to remove the tensioner first you need to remove the bracket that holds it. once you have removed the pulley bracket with the pulley still attached to it, 1 remove the retaining nut, and washers. 2 You will need to use a press to remove the bearing from the post.. 3 If you are replacing the bearings on the pulley you will need to remove the "C" clip retainer, and press the bearing out.
Power steering belt to crankshaft pulley. Alternator belt to water pump pulley and to crankshaft. A/C compressor belt to power steering pump and to crankshaft pulley. Smog/Air pump belt to water pump pulley. This is for a truck that had a 2 grove power steering pulley, a 2 grove water pump pulley and a 3 grove crankshaft pulley................
power steering pump failure ----------------------- If it is a Dodge truck then i see alot of Power steering pump shafts that are broken. To test, then pull on the power steering pump pulley - if it pulls out then you have a broken pump shaft.

remove pulley - you need a power steering pulley puller and installer for ford - unbolt pressure feed line and bolts holding pump to bracket. Remove clip or clamp holding return line. Install new pump
To remove the pulley you must use a "puller", I removed my pump first but with the good type of puller you might not need to. The shaft on my pump has a hole in the end with an "Allen" type inset which has nothing to do with removing the pulley. (its not a screw). Remember to flush and bleed your new setup to remove dirt and air.
