Hi~ Disconnect the battery FIRST!! Remove the 17mm nut from the upper right engine bolt near the # 1 spark plug...now scooch under the right side the bug and look up, you'll see another 17mm nut~ remove that, on top of the solenoid you'll see a 13 mm nut holding a big red wire..remove the nut..pull off the push connector on the solenoid, give the starter a tug but be CAREFUL, that sucker is HEAVY AS LEAD..don't drop it on your face!! That's it!
