How do you remove a starter on a 2000 polaris trailblazer 250?

pretty simple, i just did mine. first disconnect battery (remove it) then get help and stand bike up on back wheels. unscrew pull rope assembly take it off by litely tapping with a rubber mallet you'll fine two screws in side ( remove them) next there a splash shield

rite under the engine on the frame 6 screws take it off its a hard plastic , there u will see the starter next remove the red wire. NEXT go to the left side as if you were sitting on ATV were your foot goes, there you'll see a big black plastic case , unscrew it. NEXT unscrew the back fender where it attaches to the foot rest, then remove big black plastic cover, NEXT you'll see two big clutches and a belt. you need a wheel puller to remove the forward clutch. first thing to do to remove clutch is put the shifter in gear so the clutch won't spin then loosen the screw about 3/4 of and inch so the washers can slide back and forth, so now the screw is backed out not complete un screwed. NEXT get wheel puller and attach it you'll need three hands to set puller up, once in place start screwing puller down be carefull not to tork to hard clutch assembly is soft metal could break if over torking. clutch should pop off if not litel tap with hammer. NEXT unscrew back pulley

now remove both clutch and pulley with the belt. NEXT you'll see a big black plastic piece remove screws that you see all of them then remove plastic there you'll see the rest of the starter screws remove them and then take starter out.
