i have done this job and its a pain in the butt big time. first you pull the tire and the get the brakes and caliper and bracket off. then you need to pull the tie rod end with a puller which you can rent from the store and you will need a axle pusher which you need to get a larger one then a normal one. 4 wheel drive because the lug pattern is to big for the small one. then you need to get the lower ball joint nut and pull that off the control arm. now its ready to get the axle to slide out of the wheel bearing. and there are two different ones make sure you get the right one. the axle i had stuck really bad had to use heat and penetrating oil to get that lose then the bearing was seized and had to heat that and keep banging that with a hammer to get it out. i found evpo-rust works really good for rust, takes about 2-4 hours to get stuff lose but its worth it if you dont have to bang your fingers and burn your truck. found it online and autozone is where i got it in Maine.
