How to remove ecu from a renault clio 2003

Remove bevel cover then glove box. ECU sits directly behind it.
The ECU on a 1993 Cadillac Deville is behind the glove box. To remove the ECU, remove the bolt and pull down the plate.
It's on the front passenger floor board....Disconnect Negative battery terminal. Remove the carpet from the top. Remove the ECU cover. Remove the ECU retaing screws. Disconnect the connector and pull out the ECU..........Installation in reverse.....
The ecu is located on the passenger side, on the wall beside the glove box. You need to remove the glove box (has 2 screws at the bottom) and to remove the ecu there is a 1 10mm bolt and bracket at the top and one at the bottom. After removing the top bracket and unscrewing the bottom bracket, you will have to disconnect the 5 plug ins that are on the ecu and drop the ecu down to remove.
The ECU is located behind the radio remove radio look in that box back there is the ECU to remove it take out panels on both sides of front console remove radio remove screws holding ecu carefully remove clips and pull ecu out passenger side. You dont need to pull the stereo.

You have to remove the ECU first. Unplug the 4 plugs, remove the 2 screws and then take the ECU out. The blower motor resistor is mounted on the underneath towards the back firewall. You can get to it once you remove the ECU.

Finally managed it! the large plug on the ecu was bolted in with some kind of shear bolt. in the end i had to drill the top off of it,remove the plug and then with mole grips remove the thread of the bolt from the ecu.
