How do you remove and clean the distributor cap from Daewoo Matiz 0.8L W reg Car splutters and is almost undriveable Have been told distributor cap is holding moisture condensation?
If your car is spluttering and has loss of power when taking off from lights unless using high revs etc (especially when the motor is warm) the problem is with the rotor arm sticking. It's not due to moisture. My 2002 Matiz has had to have 2 new distributors because of this problem.
Make sure you aren't leaking coolant into the crankcase. The engine will not start while there is moisture inside the distributor cap. Perhaps it was sprayed when you cleaned the engine, perhaps the car ran through some deep standing water and splashed the distributor... in any case, it must be completely dried out before the engine will start and if there is moisture in the crankcase it will condense to the inside of the distributor…
Is there anything i could do my 350 Chevy wont start fire and gas comes out of carburetor what should i do?
Check the timing and the distributor cap. If the timing is off, the engine will fire too soon and you'll get fire out the carb. If the distributor cap is faulty you could get the same thing. Make sure inside the distributor cap is dry, absolutely NO moisture/condensation. If that doesn't seem to be the problem, run a compression test on the engine.
96 Jeep Wrangler 4.0ltr It has been sitting in the rain for a while she will start no problems however splutters under load you originally thought it was a break down in the ignition syste?
Whenever there is excess humidity in a home, it manifests itself in the form of condensation on the coldest area of a wall, which is normally the window. The warmer the air, the more moisture it will retain, so when air in your home comes in contact with the colder glass surface, it is subsequently cooled and moisture is released in the form of condensation on the glass.
