If your car is spluttering and has loss of power when taking off from lights unless using high revs etc (especially when the motor is warm) the problem is with the rotor arm sticking. It's not due to moisture. My 2002 Matiz has had to have 2 new distributors because of this problem.

water in the distributor cap possibly pop it off (take a picture incase you pop off a few wires) flip it over and if theres water or moisture at all then most that is your problem
