my ignition module for a 93 s10 was hld by two small bolts on top of the distributor. don't drop one of them into a storm drain they are not easy to buy.

Okay, I just did this. Getting it out is simple. Remove the bottom plastic 4phillips screws.In the back of the ignition is a little tiny screw you remove then the plastic insert with the wires slips right out the back once this is taken apart you will see the metal latch holding the ignition in place. Be sure the rod is set the same going back in, i.e. acc ,on , start elsewise you'll have a heck of a time getting it back in. It's really very easy.

Geo Storm was manufactured from 1990-1993. Two engines were available the 1600cc SOHC and the 1600cc DOHC while it is possible to switch between one style engine for the other it is rather involved. Other sources for these engines are the Isuzu Stylus for the SOHC or the DOHC or the Isuzu Impulse XS for the DOHC. The Isuzu Impulse RS was a DOHC Turbo which requires considerable modification to install.
