I replaced coil packs on my Ford E350 with the 5.4L V8. If it is similar it can be a pain, but I did it in about 3 hours on the first try. On this model from the back you will have to remove a couple of hoses, and disconnect a wire or two, the hard part: Take off the fuel line rails if you have them, they ride right on top of the plugs/coils. Coil packs are held in with a screw, so after being unscrewed they just unplug off the spark plug and then unclip the wire harness. Make sure you replace the spark plugs since your already there. Hope this helps. - Rich P.S. Not a "plug" for www.northernautoparts.com but they gave good fast service and gave me the best price for Accel Coils that have been running good for a year now at under $30.00 each compared to OEM for $90 - $110 per cylinder! Dealer estimate for all Coils and plugs: $1100+ My cost for doing myself: $287! Who cares how much I saved! How does $200+ per hour of my time sound?!?!?
