my father has a 1990 F-250 with dual tanks, and doesn't matter which tank it is, but the fuel pump is in the tanks, each tank has it's own pump, you have to drop the gas tank out of the vehicle, remove the gas lines and wiring harness, recommend due to corrosion to replace whole assembly pump and lines, if i remember right it was around 150 dollars, there a metal ring around top of unit and with a hammer and screwdriver tap on it until it turns and unlocks and you will be able to pull whose assembly out of tank, and reinstall the same way, hope this helped
