The 1973 Chevrolet El Camino dashboard is held in place with 12 retaining bolts. Remove the retaining bolts and the dashboard will come off. The dashboard will be into separate pieces.
A dash from a 1973-77 Chevelle/Malibu would be the best donor

The fuse panel on an El Camino of that style is located under the dash, where the driver's left leg would be. There is a square cutout in the under dash panel where it is located. You will have to lean under the dash to see it.
Pull headlight switch - left side of dash
It will have the dash with all the gauges built into it.
I think it is under the drivers side dash on the left.
Should be located in or near the fuse box - just unplug or in my case (85 el camino)there are two flashers behind the brake release under the dash, not down by the fuse box. (87) El Camino same place. Had to remove 6 screws to get to it. Look left and up (back towards driver) should be standard 12v flasher for both.
more than likely a 3.08 gear.
look under the dash on the drivers side.
With you hands and a flat head
Yes should fit but would be wrong as the 68 had square holes in the dash for gauges and the 69 had round also radio would be a little different. Also possibility that the vents would not line up correctly
