Should be located in or near the fuse box - just unplug
or in my case (85 el camino)there are two flashers behind the brake release under the dash,not down by the fuse box.
(87) El Camino same place. Had to remove 6 screws to get to it. Look left and up (back towards driver) should be standard 12v flasher for both.
