How do you remove the driver side door panel on a 1998 Pontiac gran prix GT?

Remove the two plastic plugs by the door handle, probably some Philips screws along the bottom and near the hinges. Behind the door handle area, you may need a torx bit T-30. Have some spare nylon GM grommets available. Pull the panel along where the grommets are located. A large flat screwdriver or door panel remover will help prevent you from bending the panel and cracking/tearing it.

How do you remove a door panel in a 95 jimmy?

1. Remove the screw holding the door-open handle bezel, and remove the bezel. Unhook the power door lock switch (if equipped) and set the bezel aside. 2. Carefully remove the power window switch from it's bezzel. There are 4 small clips, 2 on each side of the switch. Once you remove the switch from the bezel, the bezzel can be gently pried out the top of the panel w/ a small screw driver from the front. 3. Starting at the front w/ a small screw driver, pry out (gently!) the trim inlay that's above the arm rest... it was wood-grained plastic on this model. 4. Use a #30 torq bit to remove the large screw towards the top of the opening where the trim inlay was. 5. Remove the 4 Philips head screws around the perimeter of the door panel. 6. Lift up on the door panel... you may have to shake it a bit.... and after moving upwards no more that an inch... the panel should come off.

How do you remove the driver door on an 86 Jeep Cherokee?

this should help. remove the interior trim panel. there are two small screws, one at the top right corner of the door, and one behind the handle. then there are three larger Philips, two under the arm rest and one in the vertical handle piece. i found that a puddy knife worked best to pry the panel from the door frame. there are two little plastic retainers on the rods going from the door to the panel, push them off the rod and pull the rod out of the bracket. It will require some force, just enough to remove it, don't brake it) and disconnect the wiring harness, (this will require the removal of the speaker) push them out of the door. Remove the door check pin, (don't wreak this piece, the pin holding the arm from the door to the door jam), scribe around the door hinged. (enough to brake the paint bond) then have a friend near by and have them hold the door while removing the hinge to door bolts (#30 Torx head) and remove the door. the door is heavy so be careful. Install in the reverse order of removal. If you are still having trouble find a Cherokee haynes repair manual, very helpful!

How do you remove a door panel on a Mazda B3000?

I call any dealership parts department and they will provide a picture and instructions on doing this type of work on the truck. .2I just did this on a '99 B2500 to replace the mirror. This truck has manual windows and mirror . . .. 1) remove the two screws behind the door handle. 2) you can now remove the black panel that the door handle is part of 3) remove the screw that was below this panel and the screw at the bottom left hand corner of the door 4) pop the cap off off the window crank, this reveals a torx bolt that holds the crank on 5) once this removed you can just lift the panel up and it comes off easilywent back together really easily. whole thing took ~30 min including retrieving a bolt I dropped down in the door, doh!3I used this process on my 2001 model to replace a blown speaker. Worked like a charm.

How do you remove the door panel from a dodge ram 1500?

1) Roll window down. 1) Remove 3 Phillips screws, one is where the mirror housing is and 2 are in pull cup 2) If the windows are manual remove the c-clip behind the window crank and remove the crank by pulling off. If you do not have a proper c-clip tool this can be done with a strip of cloth. put the cloth behind the crank against the open end of the clip and rock it back and forth. 3) There are panel clips holding the panel on. Start at the door edge and pry them loose. Use proper panel clip pliers to release the 10 nylon clips holding panel on. Do not try to use a screw driver, knife or other tools as these will break the clips or damage the door panel. The best plier type tool is approx. $30 and the clips are $3 a piece in Canada. 4) Push the door lock down and lift the loose panel over it . Pull the panel forward to get past door handle. 5) If you have electric locks, mirrors etc. you need to release the connections prior to pulling the panel away more the 10 inches or so. It is best to get someone to hold the panel while you undo the eletrical connections as you need two hands to release the clips.

1992 astro van how do you remove rear inside door panel when door is locked lock is broken?

In my 1990 Astro van, removing the rear door panel to get to the door lock/handle assembly was eay. Remove the rear seat and remove the Phillips screws in the right rear door panel. Reach up into the door and manually open the door, once open, you remove the access panel in the jam of the door to jain access to the door lock and handle assembly. ======== I have a 1992 cargo Astro EXT, and a 1994 Suncraft conversion Astro. My 1992 van was built in the USA; my Starcraft was built in Mexico and is about 2 inches shorter from the back of the front seats to the inside panel on the rear doors. If you have a short "standard" Astro (non-EXT) and stock rear seat, then removing the rear seat could possibly be necessary. Regardless, here is what you need to do to remove the *panel* (I didn't want to answer a question to which you didn't want or need the answer): In the cargo van, and possibly in the passenger version produced by Chevrolet (and in the Astro's twin, the Safari -- by GMC), the Phillips-head screws securing the large panel on the lower half of the interior panel of the doors are visible; however, if you have a conversion van (or your doors are otherwise upholstered), the screws may be covered. Usually, the upholstery panel can be carefully pried off using long (flat-head) screwdrivers or something similar. The fasteners used to hold the panel on are very strong, and the panel has a relatively weak core -- so if you don't want to damage the panel, expect to spend 30 minutes or more removing it. If you discover that you've damaged the panel, you can build a replacement (or have an upholstery shop do it for you): they're not exactly rocket science. I was able to remove my inside rear door panels on my Starcraft Conversion without removing the rear seat. I did eventually remove my rear seat in that van (it was a seat/bed), but if someone was able to access the rear threaded fasteners that secure the seat to the floor, he or she should have no problem removing the panels without removing the seat (in the EXT body).

How do you remove driver-side interior door panel on 2003 Yukon XL Denali?

Rewmove the door and window handles, then all of the screws you can find. Then with a special tool, remove the retainers on the sides and bottom of the panel. When all is loose, pull out on the bottom and push in on the top and lift the panel up to disengage from the door. Go to the following website. It will show how to remove the door panel. http://www.kwmuth.com/techsupport/pdfs/21000170.pdf
